About Us
Family Promise is committed to helping low-income families nationwide to achieve lasting independence. We do this by helping communities mobilize to provide safe shelter, meals, and support services for homeless families and through programs designed to address the underlying causes of homelessness.
- Family Promise programs are currently in operation in 140 communities, in 39 states around the country.
- The average length of stay in the program is 56 days.
- 80% of the guest families are successfully placed in permanent housing.
- Family Promise does not enable families to remain homeless and dependent but equips them to be permanently housed and independent.
