Your gift will help homeless families achieve lasting independence.

Did you know?

There are homeless children in every school in Lawrence.

Give Time:

Congregations and campus ministry groups of all faiths may participate as host or support congregations. Host congregations set aside four rooms exclusively for guest families for one week each quarter. They also provide meals and volunteer hosts coordinated by a team of trained leaders within the congregation. Support congregations partner with host congregations to provide meals, supplies and volunteer hosts during host week. Contact us if you'd like to learn more about becoming a host or support congregations.

We welcome individual volunteers to support Family Promise of Lawrence as hosts in the congregations. All that's required is attendance at a training session prior to hosting. Contact us for upcoming host training sessions.

Volunteers may also contribute professional services or old fashioned elbow grease at the Family Promise Day Center. We can accommodate group service learning as well as individual volunteers.

Donate vehicles in good repair, lightly used furniture and household supplies such as bath towels, sheet sets, personal hygiene items, coffee and cleaning supplies. Contact us to arrange a donation.

Participate in the Lawrence Giveback program. The Giveback card is a plastic magnetic striped card that you keep in your wallet. It makes an Automatic Charitable Donation when you make any purchase with a GiveBack merchant. Simply present your GiveBack card with your purchase and a percent of your sale will go to Family Promise of Lawrence. You will also earn points for every dollar you spend. Earn 200 points and $10 is automaticlly loaded onto your card which is redeemable at any participating merchant.
